Tokyo Views In Pictures
It was July 04, 2008 when I arrived in Tokyo, that’s when Japan started finger printing & picture requirements for all foreigners. Immigration, customs people were very nice & the process was very quick. I really loved Asakusa, Harajuku, Shinjuku and Shibuya in Tokyo Japan because it is very different; overall, my visit to Tokyo, Japan was wonderful experience.
Cosplay is unique culture in Japan & some Japanese teenagers love the Cosplaying ginza japanese girl. You may be wandering what is Cosplay. Cosplay in other words mean costume display, teenagers in Japan dress in different, manga characters & hang out in different parts of the Tokyo city. Cosplay is on specific days, area & Cosplay can be seen on video game shows, as well at parties, nightclubs & amusement parks.
In summer and winter, two Cosplay events, doujinshi market & Comiket attracts thousands of manga otaku and cosplayers.
Some Japanese people find Cosplay as silly, I believe the older Japanese generation. In the west, we have punk culture & most people don't like punk culture. But Cosplay is very different. I find Cosplay very interesting.

Yes Tokyo is very colorful. It took me hours to first select the pictures write the titles. You know adding 52 pictures on the hub takes lots of time too.
My shoulders & arms need some rest or nice massage.

Tokyo is so well organized?! Not only for the smoking, venting maching area, but also for the blind folks?! Isn't Tokyo the most expensive city in the world?! It would be a dream come true if I can ever afford to go there! Next time, you gotta take me with you! ;)

Yes, they are very organized. Do you think we can have self-service vending locations like this one? In North Carolina, New York or any where without being Vandalized I don't think so. I see the public telephones missing telephone directories & even receivers.

Thanks for the offer may be one day. I lived in Rosewell, Atlanta few years ago. Atlanta is beautiful but most of the businesses close at 7Pm. I am a city person & that was the reason I moved back to New York.

What a great pictures Nice sama, the teens in Tokyo are very Harajuku's like. Some of teens in Indonesia adopt that style too. I love anime too, do you have photos about naruto's style ? Great hub.

Great pics Mr. Nice guy. Just as a clarification, cosplay isn't actually that common, and is only practiced by a very small percent. Most Japanese are actually embarrassed by it. It is more concentrated in places like Akihabara.

Great Photos -- you really captured the essence of Tokyo. If you are going back you should also go to Kyoto (the old capital) -- it has a totally different character from Tokyo.
