I have a partner and his Birthday is Valentines.
What scares me about valentines is u can get it sooo wrong. I once got a card, and roses from a guy I worked with, or at least I thought it was from him. I have to mention I didn't know his Christian name, It was a big place and he was just someone you saw now and then.
The quiet type I thought he had been waiting for his chance. So I proudly put my trophy on my desk, where all the saddo's that had been forgotten could see it.
And basically enjoyed my day. I got another cheaper card that day extremely budget........and that night a phone call asking me out to dinner.
Of course I said yes.....Unfortunately "egg on my face" The guy that turned up, wasn't who I thought he was, but his co-worker a short guy I m 182. Worse evening of my live, not only was he the nastiest looking person in the Restaurant, he also ate like a pig, and talked loudly over everyone elses conversation.
So Hey I'm anti the anonymity that goes with valentines Day.
